Aluminium Extrusion

Aluminium Extrusion Process

We will procure aluminium billets in different diameters for the aluminium extrusion process. The aluminium billets will undergo an extrusion process to obtain the extruded aluminium profile shaped as per the die pattern. The aluminium billets are extruded using extrusion press machines. We have four extrusion press machines with four different tonnages, namely 700 UST, 780 UST, 1,100 UST, and 1,800 UST, to cater to the requirements of our customers. The tonnage of an extrusion machine refers to the capacity or the amount of force it can exert during the extrusion process.

As part of our aluminium extrusion process, we also perform cutting activities to cut the extruded aluminium profiles to the intended length, as well as to remove excess aluminium using cutting tools and machines

Anodising or Powder Coating

Depending on the quality and finishing requirements of our customers, the extruded aluminium profiles may undergo additional secondary processing, namely anodising or powder coating. Anodising involves an electrochemical process which is performed to enhance the aluminium product’s corrosion resistance characteristic and apply a layer of colouring to the aluminium product. Powder coating involves applying fine powder electrostatically to the aluminium product to enhance its aesthetic appeal and apply an additional layer of protection. Example of our anodising and powder coating activities are as depicted below:

The final products of our aluminium extrusion process include sliding windows, casement windows, sliding doors, swing doors and other high-quality architectural and functional components.

Fabrication and Assembly

Our aluminium extrusion activities produce extruded aluminium profiles which can then undergo further fabrication activities such as bending, cutting and riveting to be transformed into finished products.

We only undertake cutting and riveting processes to fabricate and assemble aluminium ladders as well as aluminium solar PV mounting structures. We distribute the aluminium ladders under our own “Asteri” brand and as an OEM for hardware wholesalers. The ladders that we fabricate and assemble include one-sided and double-sided ladders as well as multipurpose two-way ladders. Meanwhile, we utilise the aluminium solar PV mounting structures in our solar PV system installation services.
